Channel Guidelines

Be Specific

Don't ask to ask, just ask straight. No one's going to bite you.

Sometimes having a good testcase is critical for us to be able to help you, please read that for more information. A simple Testcase skeleton can be found here

Stay friendly

the qt channel is a very friendly place and we would like to keep it that way. Swearing, and Insulting of other users won't be tollerated.

Help others

Please stick around a little and help other people with their questions. That also increases the chance your questions will be answered more quickly and extensive when the regulars notice you are worth it.

Pastebin

pasting more then two lines is disturbing the channel. Please use the pastebin at pastebin.

Warez

is forbidden by Freenodes rules. We don't tollerate that either.

Language

please stick to english. there are localised channels around freenode you might want to join.

Qt vs Toolkit X

take this to another place then #qt please

KDE

Qt has nothing to do with KDE even if KDE is based on qt. Please ask in #kde-devel

Jobs

If you're looking for a job, or offering one, please see http://www.qtcentre.org/forum/f-jobs-12.html
